Questions about Medicaid vs Medicare
They are very different. Medicare does not cover Specialized Medical Transport services (SMV). They pay for an ambulence ride and you will need to contact them in advance for any special regulations they have concerning that.

Our documentation requirements Before any MA transport services we provide we need to pre-certify you are MA. We need to get your MA number, your primary doctors name, address, and phone number. Then we'll go through the process of certification as we need documentation on file before we take you anywhere. Trips that are over 70 miles one way we need even more special permission called an upper mileage written percription.

Who Qualifies for Medicaid Paid Transport?
Everybody does not qualify for MA paid SMV services. Your doctor must sign the Phyisician Certification and you must be disabled and use a chair. You also need to have the blue MA card.

  What is Private Pay?
If you have Medicare then you are private pay and our fees which are regulated by Medicaid are billed directly to you.
